Latin American soccer fans devastated after World Cup elimination of remaining Latin teams

The World Cup will stay in Europe.

Brazil and Uruguay were eliminated Friday, dealing a tough blow for Latins in Miami who hoped the World Cup winner would be a Latin American team.

The last time a South American team won the World Cup was in 2002 when Brazil conquered the competition hosted by South Korea and Japan.

The World Cup will resume at 2 p.m. today, as Belgium will square off against France. Wednesday, England will play Croatia. The winners of each game will play the final Sunday.
