HistoryMiami celebrates iconic rock ‘n’ roll festival with renowned photographer and Jimi Hendrix’s Brother

HistoryMiami Museum hosted the 50th anniversary of the Miami Pop Festival on May 19. The museum exhibited photographs taken by Ken Davidoff during the festival in May 1968. Special guest included Leon Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix brother.

Ken Davidoff photographed Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and other legendary rock artists of that era. He revealed a never-before-seen set of pictures that detailed the first rock ‘n’ roll festival in the East Coast of the United States.

The HistoryMiami Museum exhibit will be available until September 30.
