FIU students will receive free admission to the Brazilian Film Festival Monday and Tuesday.

BRAFF, held at various venues in Miami and Miami Beach,  is now in its 22nd year. It started on Sept. 14 and runs through Sept. 23.

According to organizers, BRAFF has created a vast cultural exchange, enhancing the identity of the diverse community of South Florida, and increasing business opportunities for the Brazilian audiovisual sector.

Viviane Spinelli, the director and founder of BRAFF, said the films chosen for the “University Series” are ones with a strong message that any young adult can relate.

“We cover topics like an odontologist student struggling to pay his studies [and] the mishaps of having a father dealing with alcoholism,” she said.
