On Feb. 21, hundreds of Broward County students walked out of their classrooms, showing support for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High as well as protesting gun violence generally.

Piper High School in Sunrise organized “#MSDStrong Remembrance Week” with the help of Susan Ortiz, an English teacher. The planned events consist of a peace walk, butterfly release and a moment of silence on Friday. Throughout the week students also made cards and banners.
