Behind the Byline: Victoria Salas & Jesse Scheckner [Video]

Welcome to the first episode of “Behind the Byline” where reporters reveal the story behind the story. In part one, we talk to Victoria Salas about her story “Local businesses come together for hurricane relief” on how the Miami community came together following Hurricane Irma.

In part two we talk to South Florida News Service reporter Jesse Scheckner about his piece “Miami Dade electronic highway signs: English only.” In his story, Scheckner looks at the implications of having English only “Dynamic Messaging Signs” in a county where a large percentage do not speak the language well.
